Simply clip on the desired portion of the leash, the lightweight (35 grams), no-slip sphere provides superb grip and a thoroughly comfortable hand-hold, allowing walkers to effortlessly deal with pullers, and clearly transmit commands.

With Lead Mate, you can shorten the leash as far as you want, without wrapping the leash around your wrist ten times. It is easily adjustable by simply screwing and unscrewing the two pieces together or apart. You can attach end re-position it in seconds based on how much closer you need to hold your dog's leash. 

It’s super comfortable and natural to hold and puts significantly less stress on your hand than wrapping the leash.

Training

You can adjust how much freedom your dog gets. It will work well for a lot of training situations too, such as using a longline for heel or stay work where you are slowly expanding how much freedom you are giving your dog.

Even more importantly, during an emergency, you have the chance to get your dog back to you quickly, something that a retractable leash does not allow.

The Lead Mate is designed to fit your favorite leash, whether it be flat mesh, rope-style, or leather.

The round style has a semi-circular shaped channel to suit a round, rope style lead from 1/4 inch (6mm) up to 5/8th inch (15mm) in diameter. Rope leads smaller than 1/4 inch should use the Flat style Lead Mate. The flat style has a long flat channel to suit flat style leads up to 1 inch (26mm) wide and 1/4 inch (6mm) thick.

More uses for Lead Mate:

The Lead Mate can also be used to couple two leashes together for a double dog walk, fasten a leash around your waist for a hands-free jaunt or jog, or used as a tether, for securing a leash to a table at an outdoor cafe.

There are times when you are on a walk and you want to give your dog freedom on a 10 to 20 feet lead. But then the unexpected happens and you meet an unfriendly dog or a wild animal. With a Lead-Mate, you have two options:
