Description

An important thing to recognize about our BioThane compare to others is that we use industrial stitching instead of rivets to assemble them. BioThane is a nylon core (Which gives it its strength) with a rubberized coating. When companies manufacture with rivets you pierce the webbing, compromising its strength. We use size appropriate rivets in a few stress points, but always making sure we don't damage the core.

Which colors have a matching adjustable Snap / Martingale collar?

Neon Pink / Red / Pastel Orange / Hunter Orange / Lime Green / Teal / Light Blue / Royal Blue / Purple / Black

Which length (300cm / 450cm / 600cm / 1000cm) is suitable for my dog?

The 300cm and 450cm are very popular with pups who do nose or scent work. The longer lines are popular with sporting breeds for field training. The fact that BioThane does not pick up scents or odors is perfect for scent work. It is also Covid friendly as you can sanitize them easily.

Which thickness (0.95cm /  1.27cm) is suitable for my dog?

The tensile strength of BioThane webbing is 2,000lbs. (~900kg) per inch of width

The 0.95cm is perfect for dogs (< 18kg). Very lightweight. We also use size appropriate “snaps” or clips on all leads. The “Snaps” on the 0.95cm are very small and don’t bother even the smallest of dogs. Some companies use snaps that are way, way too heavy for small dogs.

The 1.27cm is most customers' favorite. It will work on any size dog (>18kg). The material forms nice, rounded edges. It feels like a very well worn and softened leather lead.

All of our leads have size appropriate snaps and anything above 0.95cm has double stitching for extra strength.

Snaps:

We use stainless steel snaps on the 1.27 (width) long lines.
